Sending fibre to us & returning of products

- Get in touch in good time to be added to the waiting list – this is without obligation & helps us better schedule processing. Express Orders must be pre-booked.
- Skirt your fleeces ensuring neck & leg fibre is separated from the blanket; neck fibres of good quality & staple length may be mixed with the blanket at our discretion. If you hope to include the neck fleece with your processing, pop into a bag with either name or reference. Leg fibre is not suitable for mill processing other than for fluff or felt.
- Please ensure you send each fleece in a separate bag even if you wish to blend different fleeces. If you do not do this, we must ask you to sign a disclaimer accepting liability for the resulting yarn before we process it. More information about skirting can be found HERE.
- Either squeeze all the air out of your bag & twist up the neck of the bag or use vacuum bags which we will return once your order is complete. Please do not use staples, tape, string, knots or cable ties.
- Pack into strong boxes & include your order form with your fleeces.
- Send to East Anglia Alpaca Mill, Lingwood Long Lane, Beighton, Norfolk NR13 3JU. Our address is also at the foot of the order form.
- Send to us by whichever carrier you prefer. Please email us at info@alpacamill.co.uk to let us know your fleeces are on the way – we cannot determine if a shipment has gone astray if we are not aware it was due to us.
- We will acknowledge receipt of your box(es)/bags of fibre.
- Once your fleeces are in production we will send you photos at each stage which you are free to use with credit to EastAnglia Alpaca Mill clearly stated.
- Once your processing is complete we will send you an e-invoice including the return courier cost. Only standard insurance is included which varies between couriers, please let us know if you wish for the full value of your invoice to be covered & we will provide a quotation.
- If you prefer to collect please contact us to arrange a mutually convenient time. We expect finished goods to be collected within 28 days.
- We only dispatch once invoices have been settled in full. We only use tracked services & do not dispatch on Fridays unless specifically requested.
